Rain Drops 04:44
Nothing lives In this place Silence Disgrace Hiding out Beneath the rocks Until the air Fills with the sounds Of rain drops And it's amazing How it feels Until it stops Pressure Building Never found A living spring The scintillation Crewel mirage Dies at last When the clouds of relief Open up And it's amazing How they feel The rain drops But sometimes it pours and pours The flood waters thrash and roar Thundering as they swell And I am overwhelmed Then, fast as it came Torrent of mud and rain The storm cloud disappears Again the sun beams sear the earth Nothing lives In this place Failures So hard to face I'll dream of the sounds Of cascading falls With vibrant life That doesn't rely On rain drops

You said I was too rough In the games that we played So in time I learned To think first But you ran away Hit your bruises with stones So they'd not only stay But grow worse I thought "Maybe it's me" And I reached out to you Trying to apologize But you told everyone I was hunting you down To hurt you And said I had cut those scars into your wrists "Maybe it's me" Have you ever had that thought? "Maybe it's me" In this cycle you are caught "Maybe it's me" Taking new friends out to play "Maybe it's me" And then chasing them away I hope I was the last one to be fooled I hope you've changed and you're not Tripping people with sticks in the yard Hitting just a little bit too hard Making sure that everyone else is sharing in your pain Tricking everyone who called you 'friend' Thinking that their feelings are pretend Acting like you've won when it's just you Who thinks that friendship is a game

Not So Bad 06:39
I know that it's disturbing It's what we have to do The death of this forest Is for the sake of revenue I know it might seem depressing But you know it's not so bad It's just a few more acres And there's money to be had And I know it seems convincing But the science stuff is fake You shouldn't let it distract you Cause you've got products to make And you may be told otherwise Don't believe what you've been shilled Their facts don't match our opinions And there's industry to build It's not so bad. Children of the future losing grip on their fragile lives as they waste away slowly The soil is barren the lakes are toxic and there's no game to hunt Parents dead from wars over scarce clean water They're lucky if they scavenge some meager scrap every other day But that's their problem Not mine Not mine How can you care so much For birds and trees and such? Alive they're naught for the Almighty economy So what if they are killed When quotas are fulfilled? So what if we all die? Money's worth more than life

Winter 05:18
The winter comes As life numbs Sheets of clouds hide the sun The temperature drops The crickets’ song stops Streams of bitter cold run The leaves fly The plants die Glazed in freezing rain The cold stings The fleeing birds’ wings Abandoning a home that won’t sustain I’m losing tread A treacherous path lies ahead I’m not sure that I can make it through But a part of me knows No matter what else comes and goes I will find home in you Cause I’ll fight the pain, I’ll make my stand As long as you just hold my hand I’ll sacrifice for your sake as much as my own I’d rather suffer by your side Than find a sheltered place to hibernate Until the winter’s end alone We’ll persevere through every storm I won’t let go won’t have you torn from me By the sudden gusts or slow erosion of time The only thing that could keep us apart Is if we lose each other in the dark So let’s hold tight and let our dim lights shine

Every song and every movie And every novel seem to say That you don't know what you have until it's Taken away But what if you did, and it still hurt? Because I treasured every moment Of the life that I had made I knew the little things were special and I Was not afraid To tell the truth of how I felt When I could So what if you did? What if you took all the advice? What if you did? And when my sight of home was broken By the horizon of the earth It felt like I was wrapped up in a plastic sheet Just getting tighter Tighter My heart raced but my limbs couldn't move So maybe all the songs are bullshit Maybe it hurts no matter what And the only thing that we can do is Bandage the cut And try out best to let it heal In time So what if you did? What if you took all the advice? What if you did?
